Nathan's precious heart

Nathan is 12 years old and quite the young man. He has always been sensitive to the things of God and at an early age accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. At the age of 4 he would pray with me and for me and this has continued through the years.

This morning, at church, we had a guest speaker. I was in the service for worship and then went back into the nursery to help out, so I wasn't in for the preaching, but Nathan stayed in and listened.

The pastor's daughter came into the nursery and told me that it was okay for me to go back into the sanctuary. At this time, the minister had everyone come up front, so I went up and prayed with everyone. When I turned around during this time, I noticed that Nathan was sitting in the same seat that he was in, so I motioned for him to come up with us. A few minutes later, the minister had us pray a corporate prayer, and during the prayer, I heard Nathan say it with us. After it was over, I looked at Nathan and he was weeping and started to hug me. We stood there hugging as everyone was leaving and he continued to weep. A new member of our church came up to Nathan and started to pray for him. He spoke over Nathan and said, "In my heart, I can tell that God loves you so much. He has a purpose and plan for your life. He has great things in store for you, so do not be discouraged because He is working in your life." We both hugged him. When we sat down, Nathan was still in tears, the minister came up to Nathan and just incouraged him.

Later, on our way home, Nathan said, "While I was sitting in my seat, I knew that I had to go up with everyone else. I could feel it and when you told me to come up with you, that is when I felt God."

I am so in awe of the Lord, and I hope that Nathan stays sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit. I can't wait to see what God has in store for that young man.
