We Are His Treasures
Ephesians 1:18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.[g]
WE are God's holy people, who are His rich and glorious inheritance. Wow!!!
On Sunday, we attended Brookside Church with our family. The pastor taught out of Ephesians 1. This really stood out to me. I have Ephesians 1 memorized because my mom taught me to pray this prayer over my loved ones. I have never done an in depth study on this passage before, but I knew that it was rich, in itself, with so much meaning. (That is why I prayed it over people that I know)
His love for us is so immense! We can't even begin to grasp how much God loves us. It is beyond our imagination.
Why is it so hard to lay aside our worries and fears? Knowing what we know about God, why can't we just trust Him? (I have problems at times in this area too) I almost want to put stickies all over my house that read, "I AM GOD'S TREASURE" so that I will not forget this fact when I am facing a really tough situation. He has our backs! He is not going to fail us. He is our Daddy! He sees our ins and outs of our situations and knows each intricate detail of our lives, down to the number of hairs we have on our heads. He sees the future and those that we are in contact with and who we will come into contact with.
No matter what you are facing, just trust in His love and allow Him to heal, embrace, calm, comfort, and care for you and your needs. He loves you!
